The King's Academy - Individualized Instruction for Grades 3-12
About Us
Our philosophy is based on the fact that all truth has one source- God’s Word. We believe in the inspired, infallible Word of God. Our entire curriculum is Bible based and all staff members profess to know Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour. Everything that we attempt to accomplish will be done by using principles found in God’s Word. We believe that children are important to God and it is our desire that each student know God personally and through their educational experience at The King’s Academy they will come to know WHO God is and desire to live for Him.
Education is not about teaching “subjects” but rather about teaching children. Luke 2:52 tells us that as Jesus was on the earth as a child, He grew in wisdom (mental) and stature (physical) and in favor with God (spiritual) and man (social).
All academic instruction is taught one-on-one. Each student below 9th grade, is given a diagnostic test to determine learning gaps. We then start the student at their academic ability, and the goal is to fill in those gaps and bring them to grade level.  Also, with individualized learning, students can advance beyond the normal pace if they so desire, We also have the ability to help high school students make up individual courses they may have failed to avoid repeating a whole year.  Individual teaching allows the teacher so much more depth with each student and takes away such things as embarrassment of asking questions out loud and a student feeling they are behind everyone else. Individual instruction not only strengthens academic issues, but builds self-confidence resulting in SUCCESS!!!
